The D-D True Seawater Refractometeris a handheld instrument for the measurement of the TRUE Salinity and Specific Gravity (S.G.) of sea water by refractive index. Almost all other handheld saltwater refractometers available to the hobby are designed and calibrated for the testing of brine solutions (i.e. sodium chloride) and are not calibrated for the refractive index of natural sea water. Even though the largest percentage of salt in the sea is sodium chloride, the presence of other significant ions such as magnesium and calcium in natural sea water results in a different refractive index relative to that of brine. A standard salt (brine) refractometer will therefore not give the correct salinity for natural sea water (NSW) and a conversion factor must be applied. After extensive development, D-D’s new ATC refractometer addresses this issue as the scale is calibrated for seawatergiving true salinity results for aquarium use when correctly calibrated and greater accuracy than previously attainable.
Equipped with a simple user interface. Results are displayed on a large, easy-to-read LCD screen. Users can choose the desired units for salinity (ppt, PSU, specific gravity (S.G.) and temperature (C° or F°).
The monitor can be fixed to the wall of the aquarium tank.
The probes can be installed/immersed directly into an aquarium tank (with the supplied suction cups) and are designed to continuously monitor pH, salinity and temperature levels.
Keep your Trident NP Nitrate and Phosphate Tester running smoothly by replacing your reagents on time. This kit is easy to use with clear instructions for hassle-free reagent changes. These reagents ensure consistent and reliable results, covering a two-month testing period with one nitrate and one phosphate test per day.

Water alkalinity is one of the most important parameters to measure in aquariums as it helps to maintain a stable pH, a very important factor for most aquatic life.
Water alkalinity can be defined as a measure of its ability to neutralize acids. In natural waters, this property is mainly due to the presence of certain salts of weak acids, although the presence of weak and strong bases can also contribute. These substances act as buffers to resist the drop in pH resulting from the addition of acids. This concept is widely used in the practice of wastewater treatment.
Concentrations of certain species (hydroxides, carbonates and bicarbonates) produce a buffer effect in water as they absorb protons, keeping the pH at a stable value. This is very important in living beings and in certain media such as the bloodstream.
It is also worth noting that water with high alkalinity is not necessarily harmful for human consumption, such as carbonated water also known as soda.
Our alkalinity colorimeters make it easy to trust your measurements. You no longer have to struggle to determine colors, our portable meter eliminates the problem of matching a color chart, providing a direct digital ammonium result.
Our checkers fit in the palm of your hand and can easily be carried in your pocket. With one-button operation, they make measuring and obtaining ammonium measurement results very simple.
pH Alert® is a unique color device designed to be placed in the aquarium or filter and monitor pH continuously. A sensor changes color reversibly from yellow to orange to red alerting you to shifts in pH levels between 5.4 and 8.0. Freshwater use only.
pH Alert® lasts up to 4X as long as competing products.
pH Alert® is also almost half the size of competing products. It’s small, clear, and unobtrusive, so it won’t detract from the view of your aquarium.

Salifert Flatworm Exit works on reef aquariums that have flatworm issues. Flatworms can consume corals and are usually found when new corals are introduced to the tank. When using Flatworm Exit it is necessary to follow the directions, as flatworms can produce a toxin in your aquarium after the treatment. Multiple treatments may be necessary as well.
Trusted by discerning reefers for years, Salifert Test Kits feature some of the easiest to read results available. Their test kits include easy to follow instructions and straightforward, accurate results. Salifert test kits are also some of the most economical; the Salifert Copper Test Kit will typically deliver 50 tests per kit.
Phosphate can enter your aquarium through tap water, fish waste, and decaying organics such as uneaten food and dead algae. Excess phosphate contributes to unsightly algae and green water blooms, and in saltwater, excess phosphate can inhibit the growth of hard corals. The API PHOSPHATE TEST KIT tests phosphate levels from 0 to 10 ppm so that you can easily monitor the condition of your aquarium water and may be used in both fresh and saltwater aquariums.
